Record Store Sessions: JUNO

JUNO is an Amsterdam-based live act that deconstructs and rebuilds dance music using tuba, sax, synths, and drums. What starts as dreamy electronica effortlessly shifts into pumping grooves and raw energy!

Is it dancy dreaming or dreamy dancing? On stage, live musicianship clashes with electronics. Sax and tuba transform into full-fledged synths using pedals. Tight sequences and live music blend together: every show moves and breathes. Throughout the show, the PAUW shines: their self-developed light installation that moves to every beat and gradually takes over the room. An immersive experience in sync with the music.

This year, JUNO played a midnight set at ESNS ‘26 in Groningen. Previously, the band played successful shows at venues like Melkweg, TivoliVredenburg and Doornroosje. The group released their own music with Ruben Hein, played twenty shows across the Netherlands with Popronde ‘25, and their live show was broadcast on NPO2.
