Record Store Sessions: Richie Reichgelt Invites

Richie Reichgelt is performing at Paak Vinyl Bar this Thursday and bringing a few of his musical friends along. Known as one of the finest jazz guitarists from Nijmegen and the Netherlands, he is a true musical chameleon who has played stages across the world.

With a background from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Richie effortlessly blends jazz, pop, and Brazilian influences. He has collaborated with renowned musicians including Philip Lassiter, Tineke Postma, Anton Goudsmit, and Peter Beets, showing just how widely respected he is.

He draws from all these experiences to shape his distinctive sound. On his debut album Groovy Elephant from 2018, jazz forms the backbone while funk, soul, and dance shimmer through. The result is a subtly grooving, contemporary style that mixes danceable energy with refined, timeless jazz.
